How to Install Cracked Apps

on Friday, December 19, 2008

There are two ways of doing this, with Cydia or Icy, or via SSH

Via Cydia or Icy (recommended)
You need:
Cydia or Icy
A legal App
(app downloaded form the appstore, no matter which app, no matter if its free)

1. Open Cydia and go to "Manage"

2. Add the source http://apt.hackers.nl/ or http://iphone.org.hk/apt/ by tapping on "edit" then the "+" button.

3. Search for "MobileInstallation" and install the one for your firmware.

4. You need a legal app here is an example of a good one. No matter if your legal app costs or if its free, just download one from the appstore and install it.

5. Now, download your .ipa files ( apps ) from VonHelp.com, double clic them, they will appear in itunes, then sync and enjoy. NOTE: use Firefox for downloading Apps

NOTE: Everytime Apple releases a new iTunes version or iPhone/iTouch firmware, wait some weeks until a Mobileinstallation Patch comes available!

We recommend this only for testing apps, developers spend a lot of time creating those Apps. So, if you really like an App, buy it. This tutorial is only for informative purposes.

You can SSH this file too.

When i open an App once in my device, a message appears " App "xxx" can't open"
That happens when you don't have a legal app.

Doesn't matter if the legal App is free?
No, it doesn't matter. The important thing here is that you downloaded it from the AppStore.

When i try to Sync cracked apps a message appears "The Application "xxx" was not installed on the "iPod/iPhone" because it coluld not be verified.
That happens when you don't have Mobileinstallation or you have one for another firmware.

I can't add the source "apt.hackers.nl
Try installing it from the "Community Sources" folder

Can't find mobileinstallation!
Sources are always changing so you can try this:
First, make sure you added the correct source.
Refresh the source.
Search for "Patch" or "mobileinstallation"
Try with another source that has that package. (that's why we put 2 in this tutorial)
Wait some days and refresh again (maybe the source or package is under maintenance)

Works on Mac & Windows?
Sure.

What iTunes version do you need?
Well, many iTunes version will work, we are using 8.1

After downloading, i only have a folder with to files inside, iTunes artwork and a folder "Playload", where is the .ipa file?
That happens when you download apps with some versions of Internet Explorer or Safari, use Firefox
